Trump Launches Another Attack Online
Former President Donald Trump went on a heated rant against New York Attorney General Letitia James over the weekend. He used Truth Social to unleash his anger, calling James “scum” and demanding that she be removed from office.
In his post, Trump accused James of corruption and claimed her leadership has cost New York billions. He argued that businesses no longer want to operate in the state because of her.
“Corrupt Letitia James is costing New York State hundreds of billions of dollars in lost business. No company or individual wants to be there, knowing that she’s the ‘Attorney General,’” Trump wrote on Saturday.
He went on to say James is a “complete and total disaster.” Trump mocked her failed bid for governor, noting that she “only got 1% in the polls and quit.”

Accusations of a Political “Witch Hunt”
Trump also accused James of waging a politically motivated “witch hunt” against him and his allies. He insisted that her investigations are part of a broader campaign to damage him.
“She then went back to her WITCH HUNT against President Donald J. Trump, and others,” he continued. “Until this ‘SCUM’ is removed from the Attorney General’s Office, no company will move to New York.”
According to Trump, the state’s economy will continue to decline under James. He warned that companies will avoid using the New York Stock Exchange or NASDAQ for public listings.
Trump Links James to New Economic Shifts
Trump tied his comments to the new Texas Stock Exchange, which the SEC approved earlier this week. He said it will pull massive amounts of business away from New York.
“The new Texas Exchange will be taking ALL of this business away, and we’re talking Hundreds of Billions of Dollars!,” Trump wrote.
He also shared a screenshot from Fox News. The report claimed that Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac will close their New York offices due to James’ “corrupt and dangerous business practices.”
So far, James’ office has not responded to HuffPost’s request for comment.
A Feud That Goes Back Years
The conflict between Trump and James is nothing new. Over the years, she has filed multiple lawsuits against him. One major case accused Trump of inflating his property values to secure loans.
Trump was ordered to pay more than $500 million in penalties. However, a New York appeals court later threw out the civil fraud penalty. The decision was seen as a major victory for Trump.
DOJ Subpoenas and Rising Tensions
During Trump’s second term, tensions escalated even further. The Department of Justice issued several subpoenas against James’ office. Later, the DOJ accused her of mortgage fraud, deepening the political rift between the two.
Observers say this feud has become one of the most personal battles in Trump’s political career. Many of his supporters see it as proof of what they call a “weaponized justice system.”
Trump Keeps Using Truth Social as a Weapon
Despite ongoing legal challenges, Trump continues to use Truth Social as his main platform to fire back. He portrays himself as the victim of a political witch hunt and uses his posts to rally supporters.
His latest rant is no exception. It reflects both his frustration and his strategy to stay in the public eye. Through strong language and bold accusations, he keeps the spotlight fixed on his feud with James.
