Kimmel’s Dislike for Trump Goes Beyond Politics
Jimmy Kimmel explained on Wednesday why he dislikes Donald Trump, revealing that his issues go far beyond politics. He addressed Trump supporters who want him off the air due to his constant jokes about the former president. Kimmel, who faced suspension after making controversial remarks about the Charlie Kirk assassination suspect, pointed out, “I talk about Trump more than anything because he’s a bully. I don’t like bullies.” To emphasize his point, Kimmel shared, “I played the clarinet in high school, OK? So I just don’t like him.”

Kimmel Compares Trump to an ’80s Movie-Style Bully
Kimmel didn’t stop at labeling Trump as a bully. He explained that Trump represents an old-fashioned “’80s movie-style bully,” one who takes your lunch money, then continues to take it if you let him. “Two things he loves: lunch and money,” Kimmel added.
Kimmel then gave a more detailed description of Trump’s behavior. “He will take that peanut butter and jelly sandwich your mom cut in half like a triangle for you. He will gobble it up in front of your face, and then he’ll eat your little Ziploc bag of Oreos, too.” Trump would also read aloud a note your mom sent with your lunch, saying, “Oh, look! Mommy woves her widdle boy,” before smiling with crumbs stuck in his teeth.
Kimmel Paints a Vivid Picture of Trump’s Bullying Tactics
Kimmel’s description of Trump’s bullying tactics continued. “He’ll grab you by your nipples, twist them until you have two holes in your Le Tigre shirt — because your parents couldn’t afford an Izod — and stuff you in a locker. He’ll stomp on your Trapper Keeper and slam the door.” Kimmel argued that this is exactly how Trump treats others, and he likened Trump’s behavior to that of a classic schoolyard bully.
Kimmel Compares Supporting Trump to Rooting for Biff Tannen
Kimmel compared supporting Trump to rooting for Biff Tannen, the villain from Back to the Future Part II, noting that Biff was based on Trump. “And this is who people are cheering for?” Kimmel asked. “I don’t know about you, I’m with Marty McFly.” This comparison underscores how Kimmel sees Trump’s actions as those of a bully.
Trump’s Attacks on Late-Night Hosts Continue
Trump has regularly attacked late-night hosts, especially Kimmel. During his first term, Trump even tried to have Kimmel censored for making jokes about him. He also targeted other late-night hosts during rallies, focusing particularly on their jokes about him. Over the summer, Trump celebrated Stephen Colbert’s show being canceled and warned that others might face the same fate.
